SOLD!

CONGRATS to Justin and Lindsey who are officially homeowners! They closed on their cutie house today! Click the following link if you would like to see more pictures of their new diggs: http://justinandlindsey.com/house/

Isn't it the cutest?!

Today also marks the ONE month countdown til they become Husband and Wife!

Furture Mrs. Limbaugh

We had the best time ever in Destin showering Lindsey and celebrating her 'last night out'! It was so great to finally see all my girlfriends, it was like we never skipped a beat! One night we stayed in and talked and talked for hours about nothing and everything. Everyone just loved the shirts and they thoroughly enjoyed the limo and secret 'dance class' I arranged for Saturday night!

I think my favorite part of the trip was watching Lindsey eat up all of the attention from the Piano men (if you will) who sang her a Bachelorettesque song at Rum Runners, a piano bar in Sandestin. See photo below:

Lovin it!

Here are just a few of my favorite photos from the weekend.. Enjoy!

I had this sash made for the "Future Mrs. Limbaugh" - She LOVED it!

Group pic in front of the limo with the shirts!

the Bride-to-Be and myself!

+1,000 points for the MR. Limbaugh, who surprised Lindsey with a beautiful bouquet of tropical flowers!

ALL of the ladies!

Lindsey's Bachelorette Weekend

4.28.2009

Why didn't I invent this?

I'm back from sunny Florida and Alabama, and completely exhausted but had a FABULOUS trip! {new post to come as soon as I catch up on my sleep.. and work}

I just wanted to share with you my newest FUN find! Let me preface that I'm not a gimmick lover at all. But ever since moving into our house with all wood floors, I have to have slippers/crocs/shoes on inside the house. So when I saw these while grocery shopping with Mom at Wal-Mart and I had to have them!!! You can find them here.

Seriously, why didn't I invent this?

Matching Tees for Lindsey's Bachelorette Weekend

One way I wanted to make Lindsey's Bachelorette Weekend extra special was to have matching tees for all the ladies! After doing much online research, I found that you have to spend $295,357 for 10 or so personalized tees... which wasn't a possibility, so I decided to do some more research... That's when I somehow stumbled upon this post and figured hey if they can do it, I can do it.

So, I ventured out to Jo-Ann to buy the Dark T-Shirt Transfer paper. Bought the graphic from istockphoto.com (amazing website btw) by doing a search for hand drawn frames. I created the image with text in Publisher (Photoshop would work better but I don't have it and Powerpoint would also work fine) and printed it out on the transfer paper. Then I cut out and ironed on the image.

Here's a play by play:

Supplies

Parchment paper was included with the Transfer paper

I think they turned out awesome and I'm hoping Lindsey and the girls will love them!

We've got girls coming in from all over: Tampa, Mobile, Atlanta and I've got a couple surprised up my sleeve for the Bride to be and her fabulous ladies!

Stay tuned for another scheduled post about one of the surprises! Here's a sneak preview:

Airport Essentials

While getting things organized for my quickly approaching (t minus 3 days!!) 10 day vacation, I realized that I wear the same thing every single time I travel by air. I also use the same bag and bring the same products/technology. I'm a creature of habit, what can I say?

Well, this week I went on a quest to replace my ragged old 'airport shirt' (as I like to call it). Yes my friends, it was time to retire good ole airport shirt for a new updated airport shirt. Well I did it, I found a super cute green and oh so comfortable cardigan wrap that is now my NEW airport shirt!!

After finding my new airport shirt I was inspired to try out polyvore.com. So, in honor of my upcoming air travel I have created a set of all of my very favorite Airport essentials to share with you. Enjoy!

Do you have favorite Airport Essentials?

Adventures in Gardening :: Phase 1

Garrett and I spent the entire weekend planting Phase 1 of our garden - and enjoyed every second of the beautiful warm sunshine. After lots of weed pulling and ever so dirty fingernails - we now have our very own veggie + herb garden!

On Saturday morning, I headed off to Home Depot to get the goods: Romaine, Red Leaf, Iceberg and Buttercrunch lettuce (they didn't have spinach, boo), Broccoli, Rosemary, Cilantro, and Parsley. We spent all day Saturday and most of Sunday just pulling weeds/getting the soil ready - dosen't sound like much but we filled our ENTIRE yardwaste garbage can! We finally got around to planting the veggies on Sunday afternoon. Enjoy the pictures, I cant wait to see how they turn out!

The goods.

Don't you just love these cute pink gardening gloves?! I do!

Phase 1 of our garden.
From left we have the lettuce: Romaine, Red Leaf, Iceberg and Buttercrunch, then Broccoli, Rosemary, Cilantro, Parsley, and Chives. You might remember the chives from this post.

We discovered these beauties buried underneath some dead weeds and they smell heavenly - Does anybody know what they are?

Another view of Phase 1 of our garden.

When it gets warmer, we want to plant Phase 2 of our garden: tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash, basil, garlic, and maybe even some corn!

Happy Weekend!

Were supposed to get some nice weather {highs in the 60s and sunshine!} this weekend so I plan on getting outside to tackle some gardening. Maybe even plant some veggies and herbs.

Happy Weekend!

Speedy Gonzales

It seems we've got a Speedy Gonzales on our hands. Garrett ran the Whidbey Island Half Marathon last weekend and finished 15th in his age division (YEAH)!! His official time was 1:45:55, missing his personal record by a mere 29 seconds! His PR was set at the 2001 Seattle Half Marathon at 1:45:26. Can you believe that?! This has definitely fueled his fire to get out there and run some more races!

Garrett and Geoff starting the race.

It was an absolutely beautiful day!

Garrett and Geoff with their metals! Way to go boys!

No fooling..

It's Snowing. In April. In Seattle.

Ugh. Spring is not my favorite time of year here in the Pacific Northwest. {Thinking happy thoughts of sitting on the beach in T-minus 23 days}
