Couples trips to costco

Garrett and I just had the funniest convo over Gchat:

Garrett: Are you going to Costco today?

Me: I wasn't planning on it.. why?

Garrett: No reason, if you were I was gonna say get flank steak, but that's ok, I'll go to safeway

Me: I like to make couples trips to costco!

Garrett: Oh haha!

Never fails. When I go to costco alone, I come home with massive amounts of food that I cannot possibly carry bymyself. That's why I like couples trips to costco! And I really enjoy spending time shopping with the hubby!

Maybe I'll give it another try and go alone today but this time I will use no buggy and stick to my list: pick up photos, grab a flank steak, check out. - It is going to be very hard to pass the book & dvd section... especially since I am about to finish a book... Wish me luck!

5 Things I love about fall:

Well, today is officially fall and I have to admit, for the first time living in the Northwest, I'm totally ready for the weather to change!

Here are my favorite things about Fall:

1. Crockpot meals and any other hearty food that warms the belly (and the soul)

2. College Football

3. Decorating with warm fall colors

4. Watching the leaves change

5. Thanksgiving!!!

...I could just go on and on about my love of the upcoming season change!

Happy Birthday Garrett

Happy Birthday to my sweet amazing husband Garrett! I'm so grateful you were born 29 years ago today.. Thank you for filling my life with joy and happiness. I love you so very much!

We had a fabulous weekend at Garrett's grandparents beach house, filled with friends, games, clam digging and TONS of yummy food! This year, I made Garrett a coconut cake which (I must say) turned out delicious.

Happy Happy Birthday!

Make a wish!

The guys went clam diggin' on Saturday!

Reverse commute

I am loving my new reverse commute from Seattle to Bellevue. It may even be shorter (in traffic) than my old commute. AND this is what I get to see on my way to work everyday:

Sunrise over the city.. MAGNIFICENT!

And then, the view driving over the 520 floating bridge... AMAZING!

And finally, Mt Rainier.. GLORIOUS!

LOVES IT!

Packed and pretty much moved in!

Thanks to a few Angels in disguise (my Mom, Mike & Sandy, Trevor) we were able to pack up almost everything in our apartment and take it over to our house this weekend. We unpacked most of our kitchen and bathroom things with a TON of room to spare... The cabinets are huge and I cannot tell you how uber excited I am to have so much space to use.. did I mention there is a ginormous basement?! *Today Garrett and his Dad are moving the big stuff, beds, couches, furniture etc. And we will be sleeping in our new place TONIGHT! :) *If you are free today or tonight and would like to donate your muscle power, Garrett and Mike would really appreciate your help.. just give them a call! Thanks to Mom, Mike & Sandy, Trevor for helping us move - we are very blessed to have such an amazing supportive family!

Here are a couple photos from Sunday evening.. Celebrating Sandy's Birthday and eating some yummy pizza, homemade Root Beer and ice cream cake in our new back yard on our kitchen table! Thanks Sandy for helping us move on your birthday!

Speaking of family, I am SO grateful that my sweet, amazing Mom was able to come in for the weekend and help me pack (honestly, with Garrett being out of town for the MS bike ride and us being out of town this coming weekend, I don't know how I could have gotten it done without her). Seriously, she's like wonder woman! We had so much fun spending QT together and on Saturday evening we found time to do (our fave things together) some shopping and even managed to have a wonderful dinner at Chandler's Crab House on Lake Union!

Liam's first day of Preschool

My nephew, Liam started preschool a couple weeks ago. I just can't believe it! It's a two day a week mother's day out sort of thing but STILL! He's growing up so fast since the last time I saw him! I am really looking forward to the next time I get to see this little handsome man! For now, pictures:

It just hit me...

How stressful and absolutely draining packing for a move is... We've been super busy around here, but we're making lots of progress. Bless Garrett's heart for putting up with me this week! I'm a lucky gal to have such a sweet, supportive and amazing husband!

On a positive note -- Another one of my best friends in the whole wide world, Miss Katie Windham, joined the blogging world! Now we just need to get my sister Lindsey into to bogging!
This is one of my all time fave pics of Katie and I!

Cough, cough, sneeze, sneeze

I finally went to the doctor yesterday evening after at least two full weeks of a nasty (rather embarrassing) cough and lots of congestion. The Doc determined that I have a sinus infection and wrote me a script.. easy as that! I'm already starting to feel like I can breathe normally again. Why didn't I go see the Doc two weeks ago?!
